June brought with it ‘Wicked Wednesday’ on the green grass of Wimbledon. In similar fashion the spirits were out to play today causing more upset in the world of tennis, this time on the clear blue hard courts in Melbourne, Australia.
Australian Open quarter-final day. The line up teasing us with some spectacular tennis performances. 3 nail biting matches with shock results.
So…it has finally arrived! London 2012 has landed and has been absolutely brilliant! Unfortunately all good things must come to an end and the Olympics will be off our screens tomorrow…boo 🙁 But here I shall highlight my top moments of the Olympics so far! (In no particular order).
1934. Fred Perry defeats Jack Crawford to become the first man to win the Men’s Singles Final at the Wimbledon Championship.
1938. Henry “Bunny” Austin won his place in the Men’s Singles Final. Lost to Don Budge.
2012. Andy Murray beats Jo Wilfried-Tsonga to become the first Brit in 74 years to reach the Men’s Singles Final.
Can he do it? I think so. Bring on Sunday.
