Saturday 26th March 2005. 7pm. BBC One. The world waited in anticipation for the familiar sounds of the blue policebox housing a man who would take them on a lifetime of adventure and excitement.
Yes, exactly 10 years ago today what is now dubbed as ‘New Who’ graced our screens for the first time. With Christopher Eccleston taking to the helm of the TARDIS accompanied by the brilliant Billie Piper, we didn’t quite realise just how much of an impact this BBC family drama would have on our lives.
A woman with a voice is by definition a strong woman. But the search to find that voice can be remarkably difficult. – Melinda Gates
To all the women out there; my friends and family, those I will know in the future and those I may never know. You are all perfect.
Love yourself, be kind to yourself and continue to be yourself. Because yourself is who you should always strive to be.
So tonight we bid farewell to 2014, and I felt it only appropriate to do a quick wrap-up post on the year gone by. Here we go….
Just think, one week today Santa will have been! I could not be more excited!
This year we’re all making the trip to Cheltenham and having a big family Christmas together. My Aunty and Uncle work at a boarding school and so manage one of the boarding houses. That’s right, we’re doing Christmas ‘Harry Potter’ style!
Happy Hump Day! And not just any, today marks exactly one week until Christmas Eve! How time flies huh?
Today’s post is going to be a little different and will comprise of mainly pictures, but I’ll give you a bit of back story. Last night I couldn’t sleep, so I decided to spend a good hour (sure it went more in to 2) scrolling through Pinterest. I’ve never really used Pintrest much, I’ve had an account for a while, but more recently I’ve found myself having a bit of a browse before I go to bed. It’s really great for home decor ideas, and around Christmas it’s perfect.
NOTE: This post was going to be put up what is now “yesterday” however my laptop decided to crash and caused me to lose EVERYTHING! So instead you’re getting it now.
Today was a busy busy day, we were having a new suite delivered which was exciting, although we had to clean the front room before they came, and then me and Dad decided to put up the outside Christmas lights.
First off I have to apologise. I have of course missed two days of blogmas! *slaps own wrist* I must admit that I had a pretty hectic weekend and really just needed a few days off to re-energise! But I’m back, and raring to go for the next two weeks!
My favourite part of the festive period is the countless Christmas Markets that pop up all over the country. I’ve only ever seen a few of them but have always wanted to go to the Manchester Christmas Market. Today I got the chance to do so…
HAPPY CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY!!!
Yes, today is the day where thousands across the nation have donned Christmas themed jumpers during their daily routines. Here is mine:
I’m getting too used to doing these two day blog posts that it seems to be becoming a recurring theme this month!
So yesterday I went out and did a bit of Christmas shopping while I was helping my friend find an outfit for her work’s Christmas party. Now, I’m not one for clothes shopping (hence the amused face below), but I do really enjoy buying Christmas presents. There’s nothing like the satisfaction of buying things for others that you know they’ll enjoy. IT’S JUST BEEN SO HARD THIS YEAR!
It’s been a long time since I’ve done a review post so bear with me as I try and write my thoughts as coherently as possible…it’s harder than you think!
