Hey everyone! Long time no speak 🙂 from what I can see it has been….a month since my last post. Not bad considering previous records! So first off I would like to say a big thank you to ANYONE who reads this, you guys are why I keep going!

There have been a few updates to my life at the moment that I’m really excited about that I would love to share with you all….

September 2012 started an important period in my life and I am pleased to say that this marks the beginning of the end. I have finished my first year at University!….kind of. In just over a week I will sit my last exam and then the start of my summer break will begin. It has been an absolute whirlwind, the months have just flown by but I have enjoyed absolutely every minute of it. All of the staff at The University of Chester have made me feel so welcome, I have made some great friends and I am really looking forward to the rest of my time there! 🙂

On May 15th I went to see Westlife perform at Liverpool Echo Arena as part of their farewell tour. They were absolutely fabulous! It was both a happy and sad occasion and my first and last Westlife tour and I loved every minute of it.

The boys!

As you may remember last year I took a trip all the way up North to bonny Scotland. Absolutely enjoyed the trip and I’m happy to announce that I’m going again! 😀 Only down side is that it’s next year…boo. But I’m super excited, going to a completely different area which will be awesome 🙂 We are literally going to be under an hour away from Loch Ness and an hour (in the other direction) away from a small town called Elgin which I really want to go and visit as it is the birthplace of one of my favourite Scottish actors and an album called ‘The Speyside Sessions’ that is due to be released in a few weeks! But more on that later!

We are going to be staying on a caravan park in the town of Nairn and it looks absolutely gorgeous. We are right on the edge next to the beach and apparently in the ideal spot to see some dolphins…fingers crossed! I am just super hyped already. And to top it all off, we’re planning on staying in Edinburgh on the way home for a few days to see the Military Tattoo, maybe some of Fringe Fest AND I’m planning on having a nice cup of tea in ‘The Elephant House’. You may have heard of it? A certain writer by the name of JK wrote about a certain boy wizard there… 😉 So again…SUPER EXCITED!!

We all know that 2012 is an important year for one reason. We are hosting the Olympics! I’m really looking forward to the games beginning but I was especially hyped for the Olympic Torch Relay coming through Chester, my hometown. We managed to get tickets to the celebration event at Chester Racecourse but what really made the day special was that one of my friends ran with the torch. It was such a proud moment for me to see her become a moment in British history and was such a once in a lifetime event.

My friend running with the torch

It was just the cherry on the cake to see that happen and it is still such a surreal feeling. To then make the moment even more memorable I got a cheeky hold of the torch itself. It is actually incredibly light!

Me and the torch!

Tuesday was just such a memorable night, I will never forget it for the rest of my life and I was so lucky to play a small part in it.

So I’ve had a pretty busy time over the past few weeks and there’s much more to come! Got a few concerts, a charity bike ride and of course the Diamond Jubilee weekend coming up. Plus tennis season has begun so it’s time for me to dust my racket off, pour the Pimms and reserve my spot on the sofa!

Hope you’re all having a good time with the fabulous weather we’ve had and enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend! 🙂
